Julia Sargeant triumphed with her entries into the HOLE PARK COMPETITION AND EXHIBITION by being placed 1st and 3rd by the members and also gaining 3rd place when judged by Ed and Clare Barham and the President.
Well done Julia. Congratulations from all the members of Malling Photographic Society.

The A.G.M. was held this evening attended by the majority of members with apologies for absence for those unable to attend.
The officers and committee were elected as follows :-
Chairman - Derek Hurst
Vice-Chairman - Ralph Wilkinson CPAGB
Secretary - Dave Belcher
Treasurer and Webmaster - Roy Levens. Roy stepping down from the Vice-Chairmanship
Competition Secretary - Alan Lomakin
Social Secretary - Julia Sargeant
Committee Members - Gill Beevis, Don Beevis CPAGB, Don Foster and David Hall

Next week we will be holding our Annual Dinner and Prizegiving at the Beeches Restaurant.

22nd April 2008

Workshop Night. A very well attended evening. The opportunity was taken by many members to hone their portrait skills with three models sitting in the hot seat during the course of the evening. Don Foster also entertained us with a number of his A/Vs. Those who forgot to bring their cameras treating the evening as a social occasion. A fine ending to our indoor meeting for 2008.

Next week we will be holding our A.G.M. followed by the Annual Dinner and Prizegiving at the Beeches Restaurant on 6th May.

Competition Time Again. Tonight we held the Hazel Palmer Portrait Competition. The trophy was retained by Julia Sargeant with her image "Commando". Second and third places were taken by Don Beevis CPAGB. Congratulations to both Julia and Don and a thank you to Glyn Bareham LRPS CPAGB for officiating this evening.
The trophy was presented to Julia by Roy Palmer in memory of his mother who was a valued member of the Society for many years.

A reminder to all members about the Annual Dinner. This takes place on the 6th May and your order together with payment should be given to the treasurer by next week's meeting. If you miss this date you will unfortunately be unable to attend as the order will be given to the restaurant the following day.
